Basic rules of entry into Ukraine for Germans

Let's start with the fact that right now Ukraine is on the list of safe countries for travel. And travel for foreigners, namely entering Ukraine from Germany will be unimpeded.

There will be no restrictions on age or status, not even the reasons for the Germans' visit to Ukraine.

Only age-specific vaccination rules can be age-restricted. Or restrictions on insurance. That is, the insurance policy is issued to individuals or to the entire company, which must cover the costs associated with the treatment of COVID, or the necessary observation, in addition, for the entire period of stay in Ukraine.

Many questions now arise due to different rules in the countries. Each state makes decisions individually. For some countries, it makes a big difference whether a person travels by invitation, treatment, or a doctor himself. In this case, entry is strictly limited. There is a difference between the type of transport in the border crossing.

Entrance to Ukraine for Germans is at the choice of the tourist. If you decide to fly to Ukraine from Germany, it will be only fast and convenient, without any problems with crossing the border.

If we talk about Ukraine arrival rules for Germans, the question arises whether you need a Ukraine visa - no. It is worth noting that German citizens in Ukraine can enjoy visa-free travel. That is to stay in Ukraine for up to 90 days for 180 days.

Traveling to Ukraine now can only be hindered by restrictions in Covid conditions. But here you can not worry about vaccinated tourists.

What do you need if you are planning to travel to Ukraine today?

Certificate of complete vaccination. Certificate of one or two doses of vaccination against Covid-19, recognized by the world health organizations

Or negative result of PCR test or rapid test for antigen, which is carried out no more than 72 hours before entering Ukraine

Or confirmation of antigen / recovery.

And of course, wearing masks in all public places.

If a tourist does not have the listed documents when entering Ukraine, they must install an electronic, Mobile application Vdoma. In this device, citizens will confirm their stay in self-isolation (14 days).

But you can end the period of isolation early.

Everyone can pass even the simplest rapid test in Ukraine and then the laboratory itself automatically uploads the result to your Mobile application. If the result is negative, the tourist can safely move around the country.

The same restrictions apply to citizens of Ukraine who return to Ukraine from abroad.

One of the nice things about these highlights is that COVID vaccinations and tests for people under 12 are not required.

As you have already seen, there are no special restrictions and rules for traveling in Ukraine. All general restrictions.

But Ukraine for German tourists must provide insurance. Every tourist should receive a policy issued by a Ukrainian company or a foreign organization that has a representative office in Ukraine.

Knowing the basic but accessible rules of German travel in Ukraine will be not only pleasant but also unforgettable. All you need to do is prepare for a trip to Ukraine, get an insurance policy, better print out all the certificates / certificates / confirmations and calmly wait for the trip to start.

But we must not forget that travel to Ukraine for German tourists is now unlimited. Therefore, we advise you to constantly check, monitor changes and keep the situation under control so that there are no unpleasant moments.
