Visit Ukraine: Rules of entry

Foreigners, including residence permit holders and stateless individuals, are allowed to cross the border of Ukraine:


• With a valid passport (the passport must be valid for the entire duration of stay in the country);

• Citizens of Turkey and Georgia can enter Ukraine based on their ID card (this permission has been available since March 2019);

• A residence permit that expired after February 24, 2022, allows entry into Ukraine;

• In the absence of a decision by the authorized state body of Ukraine prohibiting entry into Ukraine;

• With an entry visa, unless otherwise provided by the legislation of Ukraine;

• With a clearly confirmed purpose of the planned stay;

• With sufficient financial means for the planned duration of stay and for return to the country of origin or transit to a third country, or with the ability to obtain sufficient financial means legally within the territory of Ukraine;

• With medical insurance.

Tzaddik Rabbi Nachman

Rabbi Nachman was a renowned Ukrainian tzaddik, sage, and founder of the Breslov branch of the Hasidic movement. He was born in the city of Medzhybizh in western Ukraine into the family of a well-known tzaddik, and from a young age began to demonstrate his spiritual abilities.

Rabbi Nachman was known for his teachings on faith, compassion, and love for God and one's neighbor. He urged his followers to seek deep truth and find the spiritual knowledge that resides within each person. Rabbi Nachman inspired his followers to believe in themselves and to seek solutions to life's most important issues in their inner world.

His grave is located in the city of Uman in Cherkasy Oblast and has become one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in the Jewish world. Many people from all over the world visit Rabbi Nachman's tomb each year to find peace and spiritual knowledge, as well as to pray for blessings and protection.

The tzaddik Rabbi Nachman's burial place is an important symbol for the community, reminding them of their unshakable faith in God and the blessings he provided to his followers. Many buildings are located near the tomb where people can spend time in prayer and meditation, as well as shops selling souvenirs and items for spiritual development. Pilgrimage to Rabbi Nachman's tomb is an important element of Jewish religious life that contributes to strengthening faith and bringing people together.
